In a Nutshell:
Damien Hurst’s latest and most extravagant installation to date, ‘Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable’. The installation features hundreds of precious objects, spanning two museums in Venice, with a 18+ meter tall center piece ‘Demon with Bowl’. It is said to be the most expensive art show ever held by a contemporary artist.
Blurring the line between fact and fiction, the installation tells the story of a legendary shipwreck 2,000 years ago and now raised from the Indian Ocean at Hirst’s personal expense. “It’s all about what you want to believe”.
